2008 Toyota Sienna Remote PN: 89742-AE031
This remote has a Toyota part number of 89742-AE031 (used to be 89742-AE030.) It’s FCC ID is GQ43VT20T. This remote transmits on 315MHz. There are LOCK, UNLOCK, LEFT PWR SLIDER, RIGHT PWR SLIDER, and PANIC buttons. We test the remote on a keyless entry tester before shipping it to you. This ensures we send one that is transmitting proper signals.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (04-13 Sienna:)
1. Start with the following conditions:
a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Driver door is open (all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other doors don?? matter).
2. Perform the next two steps within 5 seconds:
a. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
b. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Close the driver?? door.
d. Insert the key into the ignition.
e. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF.
f. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second and release.
b. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press the unlock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps 6a and 6b for this remote as it has not been accepted.
c. Within 40 seconds, repeat steps 6a and 6b for each additional transmitter.
7. Open driver?? door.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (13-16 Sienna:)
Take the new remote and your vehicle to a local automotive locksmith to have the vehicle programmed to accept the new remote by scan tool.
