2008 Toyota Sequoia Remote PN: 89742-AE011, 89742-AE010
This remote has an FCC ID of GQ43VT20T.
It’s original part number was 89742-AE010 but Toyota superceded it with 89742-AE011.
This is a 315MHz remote. It has LOCK, UNLOCK, and PANIC buttons. We test our remotes on keyless entry testers to make sure it is fully functioning before we ship to you.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (04-13 Sienna, 05-12 Tacoma:)
1. Start with the following conditions:
a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Driver door is open (all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other doors don?? matter).
2. Perform the next two steps within 5 seconds:
a. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
b. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Close the driver?? door.
d. Insert the key into the ignition.
e. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF.
f. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second and release.
b. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press the unlock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps 6a and 6b for this remote as it has not been accepted.
c. Within 40 seconds, repeat steps 6a and 6b for each additional transmitter.
7. Open driver?? door.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (08-16 Sequoia:)
1. Start with the following conditions:
a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Driver door is OPEN (all other doors are closed).
c. Driver door is unlocked.
2. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Using the power lock/unlock switch on the driver?? door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. A lock/unlock cycle consists of pressing the power lock switch, followed by pressing the power unlock switch on the driver?? door panel. Use an even pace and try to go relatively fast.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Perform 5 lock/unlock cycles again with the switch on the driver?? door starting with lock.
b. Insert the key in the ignition cylinder.
c. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF.
d. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second and release.
b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press the UNLOCK button by itself and release. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice (two lock and unlock cycles), this means your remote has not been accepted. Repeat steps 6a and 6b until the door locks cycle only once.
c. Repeat steps 6a and 6b for each remote including old ones.
7. Close the driver?? door.

1. Start with the following conditions:
a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Driver door is open (all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other doors don?? matter).

b. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.

c. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Close the driver?? door.
d. Insert the key into the ignition.
e. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF.
f. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second and release.
b. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press the lock button by itself and release. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps 6a and 6b for this remote as it has not been accepted.
c. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote.
7. Open driver?? door.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (08-12 Highlander, 14-16 Sienna, 08-12 Tundra:)
These vehicles do not have an onboard programming procedure. Get a local automotive locksmith to program your vehicle to accept new remotes.
