2005 Toyota Avalon Remote PN: 89742-07020
This is a replacement remote for Toyota Part Number 89742-AA040. The FCC ID is GQ43VT20T. This remote has four buttons. They are LOCK, UNLOCK, TRUNK, and PANIC. The remote is tested on a keyless entry tester for radio signal strength, battery strength, and proper functioning before shipping to you. This remote sends it’s signals over a frequency of 315MHz. This remote works on the 2005-2007 Toyota Avalon when they do not have keyless ignition (push button start on dash), and the 2004-2008 Toyota Solara. The remote includes the battery.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS:
To make the vehicle accept the new remote, do this:
1. Start with the following conditions:
a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Driver door is open (all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other doors don?? matter).
2. Perform the next two steps within 5 seconds:
a. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
b. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Close then open the driver?? door.
b. Close then open the driver?? door.
c. Insert the key into the ignition.
d. Close the driver?? door.
e. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF.
f. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
a. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second.
b. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press the unlock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps 6a and 6b for this remote as it has not been accepted.
7. Open driver?? door to exit programming mode.
