Once you receive this Remote, use the included instructions to program the vehicle’s system to accept the remote. The FCC ID of the remote is A269ZUA101. This remote operates on a frequency of 434 MHz and has a red LED light that activates when pressing buttons on the remote. The buttons on this remote are Lock, Unlock, Option, and Panic. This remote works on many different years and models but only if this particular dealership installed system was installed in your vehicle. If you have an old remote for the car with FCC ID A269ZUA101 on the back of it, then obviously your vehicle is equipped with the dealer

installed system.

Programming Procedure for Honda Civic (1996-1998):
NOTE: Up to four remotes can be stored in the memory. All remotes to be programmed must be on hand. A non-programmed remote will work for this procedure. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position to complete the programming procedure.
1. Turn the ignition ket slowly to the “I” position. Wait for the radio display to come up. Turn the ignition to the “II” position.
2. Press and hold the Valet switch on the radio unit within ten seconds after turning on the ignition key (the horizontal line button in-between “AM/FM” and “CD/TAPE”). After five seconds, the system goes into programming mode. The door locks cycle to confirm the system is in programming mode (the Valet switch must be held during programming).
-To terminate the programming mode at this point, either turn the ignition key to the OFF position or leave the remote’s button untouched for over ten seconds. To program the remote, perform steps 2 and 3.
3. Press the Lock or Unlock button on the remote control transmitter within ten seconds after getting in the programming mode while the Valet switch is kept held. The door lock cycle to confirm the programming.

Programming Procedure for all other models:
IMPORTANT: Entering the programming mode cancels all learned remote codes, so no previously programmed remotes will work. You must program all remotes, including existing ones now. Separate your ignition key from remotes on keychain.
1. Start with your key in your right hand and any remote in your left hand. Keep all additional remotes easily accessible to your left hand. Insert the key into the ignition.
2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
a. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
b. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
c. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
d. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
